Data and Ethics Manager
Duration - 6 Months
Location - Bristol / Remote

Summary

My high-profile Banking client is looking for a Data and Ethics Manager to join their team Based at their Bristol offices (2 days a week on site) on an initial 6-month contract with chance of extensions.

We're looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to learn subject matter expertise quickly, is hardworking and enjoys the excitement and challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

The role will involve delivering key Data Management components at pace, including Data Lineage, Data Profiling and Data Quality Rules for our key Regulatory Reports and Models

This will involve significant engagement and influencing with our partners, to get what we need from them to deliver these components, at the same time as helping them understand how effective Data Management across their reports, models and applications will benefit them and the control and understanding of their data.

Skills and Background that are essential for this role are:

* Have a strong understanding of Finance Data, as well as data policy and external Regulatory requirements (e.g. BCBS239)
* Have experience of key Data Management practices and processes, including Metadata and Data Quality management
* Have experience of delivering change to satisfy Regulatory requirements
* Have a strong track record of delivery and understand how the Group delivers change with the ability to drive continuous improvement against an ever changing landscape
* Bring a problem solving mentality with the ability to challenge and constructively debate key issues within the Data Management area
* The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of partners and take them on the journey as Finance and the Group move forwards to deliver key components of Data Management
* The ability to deliver at pace, using agile methodology.
