The opportunity
We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Unity Developer with a strong focus on mobile and gameplay. This role is about building engaging, high-quality player experiences, from core gameplay systems through to polished UI and live features.
You’ll work closely with design, art and backend teams to ship products that sit at the intersection of sport, gaming and real-time data. There’s a strong emphasis on ownership, iteration, and understanding what makes players come back.
What you’ll do
Lead development of gameplay systems and features for mobile titles
Build clean, scalable UI/UX across a range of devices
Collaborate closely with design, art and backend teams to shape product direction
Integrate live data and backend systems where relevant (via exar.live)
Support live features, analytics and ongoing optimisation of player experiences
Mentor or support more junior developers where needed
Contribute to technical decisions and help raise overall code quality
Contribute ideas in a collaborative, product-driven environment
What we’re looking for
5+ years’ Unity experience, with a strong focus on mobile development
Proven experience delivering complex, production-ready features independently
Strong C# and Unity expertise across gameplay architecture and UI systems
Deep understanding of performance optimisation and mobile constraints
Experience with publishing pipelines, live operations and post-launch support
Strong understanding of player engagement, retention and modern gameplay loops
Ability to take ownership of systems and contribute to technical direction
A portfolio or shipped titles that demonstrate both technical depth and creative thinking
Nice to have
Experience working with real-time data or live services
Exposure to multiplayer or connected experiences
Interest in sports, performance products or data-driven gameplay
Some familiarity with XR/VR development (not essential)
