The Role:

As an Intermediate QS at Lorclon, you’ll play a key role in the commercial management of our projects — from cost planning to final accounts — while gaining hands-on experience with NEC contracts and civil engineering works.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
• Supporting tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimating, and cash flow forecasting.
• Undertake measurement and valuation of work in progress, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Preparing and valuing variations, claims, and change control
• Undertaking regular site visits and liaising with engineers and site teams
• Monitoring project progress and highlighting cost-related risks
• Maintain accurate records and reporting of project costs, forecasts, and performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in civil engineering projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline
• Proven experience working with NEC contracts preferable
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel).
• A proactive, team-focused mindset
