About Us:
Extension Architecture & Interiors LTD is a thriving architectural practice specialising in residential and commercial projects throughout London. With over 14 years of experience, we deliver turnkey solutions ranging from small renovations to large-scale developments and luxury interior fit-outs. As our company continues to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper/Administrator to manage our financial operations and support our dynamic team of 10 people.

The Role:
You will play a key role in managing the company’s day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring smooth and accurate payment processes. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support to our team of 10, helping the office run efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day payments including invoices, payroll, and expense claims.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
  • Handle accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll for staff, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Work closely with accountants to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support to the office and project teams, ensuring smooth daily operations such as holiday bookings, contracts for new employees and reviews.
  • Oversee a team of 10 by assisting with team coordination and office logistics.
  • Monitor and report on the company’s cash flow and financial health.
  • Working closely with and reporting directly to the director.
     

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar role, ideally with AAT (Aassociation of Accounting Technicians Qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in payroll management is preferred.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable overseeing a team and ensuring smooth office operations.
  • Proficiency in handling confidential information with discretion.
