Based at Winkfield Resource Centre, you will be part of a committed and dedicated team providing a wide range of administrative services for people with learning and physical disabilities.  In this role you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of diverse communities and cultures working with the framework of the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy.

  • To provide an efficient and courteous direct contact and telephone service.
  • To undertake general office administration, including reception duties.
  • To service and minute meetings as required.
  • To create purchase orders using SAP/Lyreco systems
  • To create contracts using the HPCS system.
  • To have the ability to use Microsoft office and Liquidlogic (Council database)
  • To manage and maintain the Winkfield booking system.
  • To liaise effectively and professionally with staff, adults with a range of disabilities, parents/carers and other agencies, contributing towards the presentation of an effective image of the service.
  • To plan events by writing and sending letters to service users, creating event flyers and organising games and quizzes.

About You

  • Experience of working with administrative systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of using IT systems, such as; SAP, Liquidlogic, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word Processing).
  • Ability to write standard letters/emails to staff and external agencies.
  • Ability to take notes/minutes at meetings.
  • Ability to take messages and record information accurately initiating appropriate action.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with members of the public, staff and other agencies.
  • Experience in general administration and reception duties.
  • Support to specific projects/events as identified by the Team Manager.
  • Understanding, knowledge, and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health and Safety at work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements.

About the Team

Winkfield is a multi-service Resource Centre working with and for adults with physical and learning disabilities.  Winkfield Resource Centre offers a range of service to support and enable Haringey residents with disabilities to manage their disability, maintain independence , and achieve control and choice in their lives.  You will be part of a small team ensuring that client care is the number one priority and will assist with related administrative tasks. You will also provide a reception service, both on the phone and in person.
