We are currently looking a experienced Cyber Security Tutor to join our Bootcamp team. You will providing expert instruction, mentorship, and support to students aspiring to excel in the field of digital marketing. You will lead interactive sessions, develop engaging educational content, and guide learners through hands-on projects to help them acquire practical skills and knowledge essential for success in the digital marketing industry.

Requirements of the Role

As a Cyber Security Tutor, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction, guidance, and support to students pursuing education and training in the field of cyber security. Working to support individuals with upskill needed to gain employment as well support those in work to upskill in their sector. What we’re looking for:

Instructional Delivery: Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to teach fundamental and advanced concepts in cyber security, including but not limited to network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, penetration testing, incident response, and compliance standards.

Curriculum Development Collaborate with curriculum developers and subject matter experts to design, review, and update cyber security course materials, lesson plans, exercises, and assessments. Ensure that the curriculum aligns with industry best practices and addresses current trends and emerging technologies.

Hands-on Labs: Facilitate hands-on lab sessions to provide students with practical experience in using security tools, conducting security assessments, and implementing security measures. Provide guidance and support to help students troubleshoot issues and achieve learning objectives.

Case Studies and Scenarios: Present real-world case studies, scenarios, and simulations to illustrate cyber security principles, challenges, and best practices. Encourage students to analyze and solve complex security problems, develop critical thinking skills, and apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations.

Technical Support: Offer technical support and assistance to students as they work on assignments, projects, and lab exercises. Help students troubleshoot technical issues, debug code, configure security tools, and navigate cybersecurity platforms.

Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams, projects, and practical demonstrations. Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to help students improve their understanding, skills, and confidence in cyber security.

Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, threats, technologies, and certifications in the field of cyber security. Pursue continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance your own expertise and credibility as a cyber security educator.

Community Engagement: Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment by encouraging student participation, promoting peer-to-peer learning, and organizing networking events, guest lectures, or industry workshops. Help students build connections with industry professionals and organizations to explore internship and job opportunities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Cyber Security Fundamentals: Comprehensive understanding of core concepts and principles in cyber security, including but not limited to network security, cryptography, access control, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

Teaching and Instruction: Effective communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Proficiency in delivering lectures, leading discussions, and facilitating hands-on lab exercises to support student learning.

Security Technologies: Knowledge of common security technologies and tools used in cyber defence, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, encryption methods, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyse, and solve cybersecurity challenges, vulnerabilities, and incidents. Ability to think critically, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing: Familiarity with ethical hacking techniques, penetration testing methodologies, and tools used to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, technologies, and platforms commonly used in the industry. Proficiency in using security software, command-line interfaces, scripting languages, and virtualization environments for practical demonstrations and lab exercises.

Incident Response and Forensics: Understanding of incident response procedures, forensic analysis techniques, and digital evidence collection methods used to investigate security incidents, breaches, and cyber-attacks.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, technologies, and platforms commonly used in the industry. Proficiency in using security software, command-line interfaces, scripting languages, and virtualization environments for practical demonstrations and lab exercises.

Security Governance and Compliance: Knowledge of security governance principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) governing data protection, privacy, and compliance in various sectors.

Adaptability and Flexibility: Adaptability to changing technologies, curriculum requirements, and student needs. Flexibility to adjust teaching methods, instructional materials, and course content based on feedback, evaluation results, and emerging trends in cybersecurity education.
