Seat Builder – De trim / retrim
We (E-ppl) are the specialist contractor who all OEMs call on to support their vehicles projects. This can range from carefully planned and executed launch support projects through to very reactive quality campaigns.

Job Description: Upholstery Technician (Automotive)
De trim and Re-trim a range of luxury interior seats in high end bespoke vehicles this including door cards, dashboards, seat covers using leather materials. Desirably be knowledgeable in pattern making, trimming of seats, vehicle panels, steering wheels. Skilled using a sewing machine.
Main Duties:
- Repair or replace upholstery in automobiles, Remove old upholstery from seats and door panels of vehicle.
- Re-trim seats with new cover.
- Measure new padding and covering materials, and cut them to required dimensions, using knife or shears.
- Adjust or replace seat springs and ties them in place.
- Fit covering to seat frame and secures it with glue and tacks.
- Refurbish interiors by replacing cushions.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Consistent demonstration of several upholstery techniques.
- Ability to multi-task, this position is a very detailed oriented position
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools is required.
- Travel maybe required with hotels and allowances arranged.
- Travel around the UK
- International travel maybe required at times.
Experience:
- 2 Years of upholstery experience
Reward
Contracting role paid through limited company outside IR35
