IT Asset & License Co-ordinator

This role is responsible for licence and asset management across the organisation and as such will report into the Service Desk Manager. With 2,500 staff and over 12,000 Volunteers there is the need to keep a tight management of our asset base especially for high value IT items and to ensure that license spend is controlled.
IT Asset & License Co-ordinator - (Fixed Term)

Location: Lodge (Sandy, SG19 2DL) /St Martins (Bedford, MK42 0LF). The role would be hybrid, needing to be at the Lodge (Sandy) /St Martins (Bedford) probably 1-2 days a week.
Salary: £25,723.00 - £27,614.00 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 12 months fixed-term

What's the role about?
As well as managing the location of our hardware assets and documenting this the role will be responsible for ensuring that we do the same with our software and ensure that licences are only in place for those who really need access and that this is managed through the starters and leavers process. This role is one that could be managed hybrid but there will be the need for occasional travel to the RSPB HQ in Sandy and to RSPB St Martins in Bedford where the physical assets are managed from.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- At least 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English Essential knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of asset and license management terminology and processes.
- Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person.
- Able to negotiate and influence effectively.
- Able to identify and act on opportunities for continually improving ways of working.
- Able to proactively identify and solve problems.
- Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of budget management terminology and processes
- Demonstrable Service improvement experience.
