Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN to join our team. The successful candidate will support students with SEN, helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored support strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers to adapt and differentiate classroom activities and materials.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Monitor and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support students with emotional and behavioral needs using appropriate strategies.
  • Assist with personal care tasks when necessary, ensuring the dignity and comfort of students.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance SEN support skills.

Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach, with a passion for supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable).
