Swanstaff Ltd are looking for a 7.5T Driver for our client based in Swanley. This client is a leading supplier and importer of a wide range of stones and stone products, renowned for quality and service excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Driving and Delivery: Operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport stone products to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
• Loading and Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of stone products, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Route Planning: Plan efficient delivery routes to meet delivery schedules and minimise fuel consumption.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers during deliveries.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to driving and safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid License: Hold a valid UK driving license with a category C1 entitlement to drive 7.5-tonne vehicles.
• Experience: Proven experience as a 7.5t driver, preferably in a similar industry.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading stone products.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with local and regional routes, as well as vehicle maintenance practices.
• Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as legal requirements related to driving hours and rest periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in handling and transporting heavy and bulky goods.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for performing minor vehicle repairs.
• Good organisational skills for effective route planning and time management.
