Astute's Power team is partnering with a sustainable energy solutions company converting waste and low-grade biomass effectively and efficiently to recruit a Process Safety Engineer on 6 months for its Midlands site.
The Process Safety Engineer comes with a competitive rate per day.
Key skills
- Controlling equipment to ensure it runs safely and efficiently
- Reviewing employee safety programs
- Reviewing plans for new machinery to ensure safety needs are met
- Recommending process and product safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards
- Evaluating the likelihood and severity of hazards
- Ensuring systems are effective, reliable, and compliant with safety standards
- Administering an assessment program by using human factors studies
- Counselling site asset management on safety critical equipment
- Providing specialized PS support and advice to facilitate regulatory inspections
- Supporting the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for plant areas by facilitating hazard studies and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
