QUALITY ENGINEER - EAST YORKSHIRE

We are currently seeking to recruit a Project Quality Engineer to join part of team to deliver a £multi-million heavy civil engineering project in East Yorkshire. Works comprise earthworks, piling, RC structures, paving, & drainage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Interpretation of project specifications and communication of requirements to the project team, liaising with client in relation to variation, concessions
  • Monitoring and measuring Management System effectiveness, including data/root cause Analysis, Auditing (corrective and improvement action) and report writing
  • Ensuring CA following RCA is implemented and closed out in a timely manner
  • Producing Quality Performance Reports against Audit Criteria, Objectives / KPI’s, Contractual Requirements Development of contractual and project related quality documentation, including records of inspection and test plans, support the completion of quality documentation packages supporting installation, completion and commissioning
  • Overseeing quality of work delivered by subcontractors
  • Attend staged inspection on behalf of Trant Engineering Limited
  • Review and approve project records/documentation on behalf of Trant Engineering Limited
  • Review & approve ITP and Quality Plans
  • Producing Quality Performance Reports against Audit Criteria, Objectives / KPI’s, Contractual Requirements
  • Review O&M manuals to ensure compliance
  • Raise & close out non-conformities including defects
  • Attend quality meetings

Background/Skills;

  • A background in Quality Assurance within the construction industry (within a heavy civils environment)
  • Report Writing/ Presentation Skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • Able to prioritise effectively
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office and SharePoint)
  • High attention to detail/ accuracy
  • Certified Internal/Lead Auditor/Internal auditing

Qualifications;

  • An ISO9001 related Qualification
  • CSCS
