Hours: 08:30 - 16:00

Rate: £90-105

We are looking for an outstanding 1:1 TA to join one of our leading schools in Greenwich, South East London. The school is thriving and always delivers the best support for all their SEND students. For this role you will be supporting a year 6 boy who has social interactions needs (ASD) ideally we are looking for a male TA in this case as the child is quite big and can be difficult to manage using the best safeguarding techniques. including autism

You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Experience working either with ASD, ADHD or SEMH
  • Safeguarding experience
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (preferably on the update service)
