Are you experienced working with children, looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated early years practitioner to support a 5 year old child who lives at home in Borehamwood with her professional parents and siblings.

Our client is a little girl with additional needs who loves cuddles, singing loud music and interacting with those around her! She enjoys going out in the community including going to school.
We are looking for someone to support her package of care who will be able to support our client to achieve her goals, enabling her to enjoy various activities that support her growth, development and enjoyment of the outside world.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in developing new skills whilst delivering high quality care to a child with with special needs.
We will provide free training and you will have an hourly rate of £18p/hr, the shifts are Fri to Sun 7.30am to 7.30pm, you will be a driver and confident in an accessible vehicle.

You will be experienced and responsible for:
Supporting our client to be safe, happy and stimulated
Using play to interact and develop communication skills
Supporting our client with clinical interventions including medication administration and seizure management
Support with child development activities that are engaging for our client
Finding unique and interactive activities to stimulate a child who has special and sensory needs
Support with all aspects of personal care including bathing and dressing
Support with meal preparation and feeding

This is an ideal position for an experienced professional nursery nurse, nursery assistant, playleader or childminder looking to be an integral part of a care team making a difference to the whole family.

You must have good interpersonal and relationship building skills and be very child focussed. An NVQ3 qualification in childcare learning & development, NNEB or proven experience is desirable but not essential for this role.
