Role:
Our client, a leading Defence company, is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join their team on a Contract basis. As a Human Factors Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the design and development of complex defence systems are optimised for human performance, usability, and safety.

• Conducting Human Factors analyses and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend solutions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate Human Factors principles into the design process
• Developing user interface requirements and conducting usability evaluations
• Contributing to the development of Human Factors engineering standards and guidelines
• Participating in the planning and execution of Human Factors test activities
• Providing guidance and support to engineers and designers on Human Factors best practices
• Monitoring the implementation of Human Factors recommendations and facilitating continuous improvement

• Significant experience in Human Factors engineering within the Defence industry is preferred
• Strong understanding of Human Factors principles and methodologies
• Knowledge of relevant Human Factors standards and regulations
• Ability to conduct Human Factors analyses and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Proficiency in using Human Factors tools and software
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Attention to detail and a mindset for continuous improvement
