About the role:

We are looking for a part time HR Advisor to join our friendly team on a temporary basis for up to 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.

Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor will support the Human Resources Team (HR) with the day-to-day delivery of the Trust's HR function, providing high quality, advisory and administrative support across the full employee / volunteer lifecycle. They will provide quality advice and guidance on HR related matters in line with Trust policy and employment legislation and support the Head of HR with the production and maintenance of HR policy and process, internal projects.

As a team player working alongside a small team, you will also support with general HR administration and the delivery of team social activities, as and when needed. You will be comfortable maintaining confidentiality, acting with discretion, tact, and integrity.

About you:

To be successful, the HR Advisor will have hands on experience of providing advice and operational support within a HR environment and have a good practical understanding of employment law and HR best practice within the workplace. They will be a strong administrator who is IT proficient, with confidence in using HR and time management systems.

As a team player working alongside a small team, the HR Advisor will be willing to support with a range of tasks as and when needed, and be comfortable maintaining confidentiality, acting with discretion, tact, and integrity. A CIPD / HR qualification would be beneficial for this role, however we would also welcome applications with the relevant work-based experience.

Working Hours:

This is a part time role of 24 hours split over 3/4 days per week, based on site at Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes (MK3 6EB).

Hours of work will be during the normal business hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm. The ability to flex working hours to accommodate some ad hoc evening / weekend working to support with socials / wellbeing initiatives, is required.

The salary is £21,760 per annum, based on £34,000pa FTE.
