Employment Lawyer
Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving local authority, based in South Wales, which is in need of an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their Litigation team. As an Employment Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to Employment Law, policy, governance, conducting litigation, and appearing as an advocate for the Council in Court and at tribunals (including the ET).
ROLE: Employment Lawyer - local authority
RATE: £45-£50ph
LOCATION: South Wales - remote working
CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 month rolling
Key Responsibilities
- Handle you own Employment law caseload from start to completion
- Deal with matters in relation to Employment Law, policy, governance and conducting litigation
- Work independently and as part of the wider litigation team
- Assisting more junior members of the team when required
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience in Employment Law
- Ideally someone who has worked for a local authority within an Employment/Litigation legal team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
