Work Hours: DAYS – 40 hours per week

Locations: Varying site locations + Hybrid working.

Rate: £30.73 per hour

Contract: Inside IR35

Join the Vehicle Engineering Team as an Attribute Quality Engineer - Wind Noise, acting as the voice of the customer within the automotive manufacturing environment!

Place yourself in a customers shows and be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute of vehicle manufacturing. As the Attribute Quality Engineer for Wind Noise, your role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.), perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas.

This role will liaise closely with the core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.

This role with see you cover a range of locations, primarily based at Gaydon, Solihull and Halewood with occasional travel to Stutgart in Germany however the roles location will vary depending on the requirements of each vehicle programme. Hybrid working is available around workload and production demands.

Skills Required of the Attribute Quality Engineer - Wind Noise:

  • Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role
  • Experience applying engineering problem solving methodologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues.
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to subjectively assess driven attributes.

  • Experience of NVH development and measurement
  • Experience of vehicle testing and assessment
  • Experience of automotive component development
