Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Chemistry Teacher to inspire and engage our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality chemistry lessons to students aged 11-18, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our science department and contribute to the school's mission of educational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging chemistry lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to support the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to take on new challenges.
