An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Traffic/Road Safety Engineer to come and join a busy client in the Merseyside area. The Senior Traffic/Road Safety Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating traffic management and road safety projects.

The main duties of the experienced Senior Traffic Engineer are:

• Design and assist in the design of casualty reduction schemes after undertaking detailed accident analysis, to improve safety for highways users and pedestrians
• Carry out and assist in undertaking road safety audits.
• Design and assist in the design of new safety measures that improve the day to day safety of pedestrians and other highway users.
• Develop and implement Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to manage road usage and parking.
• Design and evaluate traffic management schemes, including temporary traffic control plans for construction sites and special events.
• Conduct traffic flow and safety studies, including the analysis of traffic volumes, speeds, and accident data.

The above position is hybrid working. You will be required to be office base 1-2 days a week.
