Our client, a leading company in the HTP sector, is currently seeking a Highway Assets Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As a Highway Assets Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of highway asset databases and assisting with asset lifecycle planning. You will provide technical advice and information to colleagues across the highways functions.



Key Duties

  • Carry out inspections, surveys, and investigations, analyzing data and results in connection with the service's programmes of work.
  • Design infrastructure maintenance and improvement schemes and systems in compliance with current standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the evaluation and technical approval of planned design, construction, and system-related proposals.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefs and the supervision and management of consultants.
  • Liaise with elected Members, partner organisations, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Provide information and advice, and respond to enquiries related to the service and third parties' programmes of work.
  • Assist in the procurement of works and services, including monitoring scheme and project budgets.
  • Develop and maintain the Highway Asset Management Plan.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of construction materials and act as a source of advice to colleagues.
