Port Agent (FTC 6 months)

• £24 - £28K
• Car allowance approx. £3700 per annum
• Overtime earning and business mileage
• Company Pension scheme
• 9-5 with some evening and weekends on a rota

Key Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Ports Agent on a fixed term contract of 6 months.  Working within a lovely team the successful candidate will not need previous experience (but if you have that’s fantastic) as full training will be provided.  You will need to drive to other locations and therefore a full UK driving licence will be required for this role. Key responsibilities:

• Book vessels in and out the port along with arranging tugboat services
• Provide information on the crew and any passengers to the local immigration authorities.
• Advise Customs of the ship’s arrival and report to the cargo board
• Organise crew changes, any associated immigration documentation and arrangements such as booking transportation.
• Handle ships services including repairs.
• Visit vessels in port and un the control of the department (including Southampton, Shoreham and West Portland on occasion)
• Prepare operational reports.
• Prepare disbarment accounts.
• Prepare disbursement accounts.
