H&L Healthcare is recruiting experienced Residential Workers in Grantham on behalf of a client. This client is a leading UK Healthcare provider renowned for their work with young people.

*Offering residential provisions for young people with learning disabilities and behavioural concerns.

*An opportunity is available for a healthcare professional to join the team of staff in a residential setting located in Grantham.

This is a full-time position, entailing 40 hours per week with day shifts. The incumbent must be available for a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

*Applicants should meet the following criteria

Candidates should possess an NVQ Level 2 or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or an equivalent qualification. Experience with young people is preferred but not essential. Ideal candidates will have a childcare qualification and/or experience in youth work, such as working with young offenders, befriending, or fostering. Prior experience in the Healthcare sector is crucial. The limited public transport in the area necessitates access to personal transport. A full, clean UK driving license is required. Applicants must demonstrate an understanding of the needs of young people. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with motivation and enthusiasm.

*What are the key responsibilities of the role

Ensure the smooth operation of the workday by supporting young people in their daily lives and providing a nurturing environment for each child to reach their full potential. Assist with a wide range of daily activities, from horse riding and swimming to local shopping center visits or park outings. Undertake administrative duties as needed. All staff must collaborate to provide the 24-hour residential care necessary for maintaining a safe and functional home and school environment for the young people. Adhere strictly to all Ofsted procedures and policies to guarantee the safety of every young person, reporting any concerns to the designated superior. Approach all challenges positively on a daily basis. Serve as a consistent role model for the young people, inspiring them to become the best versions of themselves.
