We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Staff in South Yorkshire. The role would be to work in a Primary school which provides specialist education for children with Special Education Needs. 

The education provider follows a well designed curriculum with is broad, balanced and relevant to each individual child. 

A successful candidate would have:

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Experience in an educational setting within the last 2 years.
  • Experience working within education or care in the UK in the last 12 months.
  • Experience working with Early Years, KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • A passion for making a difference.
  • A confident, caring, and assertive personality.

What to expect:

  • Working in these settings requires patience, confidence, and a caring attitude as many of these students have difficult social, emotional, and mental health issues which need to be managed. 
  • You will be expected to support any pupils with their physical needs including mobility support and personal care.
  • You will be supporting pupils with reading, writing, creativity and mathematics as well as supporting them to engage in play and physical development. 

Requirements:

  • Team Teach qualification (desirable).
  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant.
  • Moving & handling training (desirable)
  • Available for between 3-5 days work.
  • x2 references.
  • Experience working within education or care in the UK in the last 12 months.

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method.
