Our client, a leading organisation in the biosciences field, is seeking talented individuals to join their team as Laboratory Scientists. In this role, you will play a vital role in conducting laboratory methodologies and processes to generate high-quality data for research projects. Working closely with the Senior Research Scientist, you will utilise your scientific knowledge to contribute during project discussions. With guidance from the Laboratory Research Scientists or Senior Research Scientists, you will also assist in the validation of new methodologies and contribute to their development and refinement.

£13.08 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform existing laboratory methodologies to ensure accurate and reliable data generation
  • Assist with the validation and development of new methodologies
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide training and support to other laboratory scientists
  • Communicate research data effectively to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records in accordance with guidelines
  • Collaborate with the wider laboratory team to drive efficiency and optimal ways of working
  • Contribute to scientific publications and reports

Background/Experience:

  • Degree in Cell Biology or a related scientific discipline
  • Experience in techniques such as cell culturing, cell propagation, fluorescent/luminescent cell-based assays, and immunoassays
  • Previous laboratory experience, either through university coursework or work experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey scientific messages accurately and clearly

Please note that this is a temporary position with a duration of 6 months. A valid driving licence is required due to the remote nature of the office location in Waltham. The hourly rate for this role is £13.08.
