Sanza Teaching Agency is currently working with a reputable special needs school in Wandsworth to recruit a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teacher to join their school workforce. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs.

The Role:

  • Position: Special Needs Humanities Teacher
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
  • Start Date: September 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Humanities lessons, tailored to the specific needs of students.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to promote active learning and ensure progress.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the academic and social development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the department and the wider school team.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the emotional well-being of all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly in Humanities subjects.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
