We are looking for 5 Social Workers to join an Assessment Team in the Heartfordshire area.  

Hours: 37

Pay: £24.37 - £30.57 per hour

Benefits:

• £150 per week accommodation expense
• 45p per mile Business Mileage

Proposed start date: Immediately

The role:

We are looking for experienced Social Workers to help on an improvement journey. Working within the Assessment Team, you will work directly with children and families, alongside other staff within the Directorate and partner agencies.

The assessment team deliver better support to the most vulnerable children and their families, develop stronger relationships with partners across the region, and beyond. Therefore, the team take their commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults seriously and expect all of our staff, visitors and volunteers to share in this commitment.

Main duties:

• Ensuring referrals are responded to in a child focused and timely way
• Carrying out assessments and investigating concerns so that a decision can be made regarding the most appropriate support for the child and family.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in statutory social care.
• Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent skills with assessments, report Writing, managing complex caseloads & dedication to improving the lives of children & families.
• Enhanced DBS (online ideally)
