£46,000 - £50,000/annum 10% bonus

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of their prestigious client in Clydach, Swansea for a Mechanical Asset Integrity Engineer.

The Mond Nickel Refinery, owned & operated by Vale Europe recently celebrated 120 years of production, and is one of the world's leading Nickel refineries. Vale are globally one of the world's largest mining companies, with operations in the UK, Asia, the USA and across Europe.

The Engineer will support the Engineering function at Vale's Nickel Refinery in Swansea.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Flange ID programme.
  • Identification of flanges to be broken for maintenance.
  • Quality assurance of re-made flanges.
  • Reporting of metrics.
  • Torque wrench management programme.
  • Coaching during training events.

Qualified to either of the following:

BS EN 1591-4

ASME PCC-1

Role Requirements:

  • ECITB Mechanical joint integrity technical training standard MJ10
  • Understand Isometric drawings.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Engineering Site Safety Passport

The successful candidate will have experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries, excellent communication skills and be able to work independently to ensure the success of their team.
