As a Painting and Decorating Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing painting and decorating teams on construction projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. You'll coordinate with other trades and contractors, monitor progress, and maintain adherence to project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Teams: Lead and manage painting and decorating teams.
- Quality Control: Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other trades and contractors.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: At least 2-5 years of supervisory experience in painting and decorating.
- CSCS Card: Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- SSSTS/SMSTS: Beneficial to have SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with new build developments.
- Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
