Brief Summary:

As a Release Engineer you will be working within the aerospace industry, you will be responsible for carrying out the final inspection of Repair & Overhaul (R&O) equipment ensuring parts adhere to the specification laid out within the CMM, generating, and signing the approved release certificates ensuring all customer, contract and regulatory requirements are observed.

Responsibilities:

  • Final Inspection of assembled props, blades and control units to specification and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
  • Generating all the relevant paperwork to complete final release of the product to the customer
  • Ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the process.
  • Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required
  • The candidate will need to have the ability and experience of working on mechanical and hydraulic components
  • Using a variety of measuring equipment (Micrometres, shadow graph, hardness Vickers, verniers, height gauge, bore micrometre) to check parts are conforming to drawing requirements
  • Checking and verifying Suppliers First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102B Forms)
  • Assisting the Supplier Quality in gathering missing documents from Suppliers for example FAIR's

Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Minimum 2 year's experience working in the aerospace industry
  • Minimum of HNC Mechanical engineering or time served apprentice or similar level of the knowledge and experience.
  • Inspection experience
  • R&O build experience
  • Good manual dexterity
