12 month PAYE - London (Hybrid 3 days in the City Centre offices) £650 - £750 per day

FPSG are supporting our established global client with an exciting opportunity for a Tax Operations Specialist on a 12-month temp role, based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team managing operational tax risk and implementing new processes ensuring regulations are followed, focussing on revenue collection increases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review all tax policy and regulation changes, implementing new processes to support these changes.
• Knowledge of the banking sector with experience of working in an operational taxes environment or supporting operational taxes.
• Provide cross Operational and Business Unit tax support
• Strong knowledge of Stamp Duty, Transaction Taxes, Withholding Tax or Capital Gains Tax regimes along with tax technical knowledge of transactional taxes (e.g. Italian, French, Spanish Transaction Taxes, UK SDRT, Irish Stamp Duty or Swiss Stamp Tax) and international reporting regimes such as EUSD, UK CDOT or T18/ BBSI.

You will have the following skills:

• In depth relevant experience within Tax Operations along with some Project Management exposure and knowledge of trade booking / settlement flows and an understanding of one or more business areas, e.g. Equities, Stock Lending or Financing, Fixed Income, or Derivatives.
• Have a good understanding of transactional and/or withholding tax issues including identifying tax issues as they impact processes and the ability to read, understand and relay tax regulations
• Excellent analytical skills, a problem solver with a record of identifying and dealing with issues as they arise.
• Strong team working and excellent communication skills, you will work with cross functional teams, willing to put across your ideas, challenge and be proficient in influencing to enact change
