Salary Scale: £140 - £210 per day

About the Role:

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Sports Coach to support student in schools in Sheffield S11. This role focuses on students with Social, Mental and Physical  needs.

As a SEN Sports Coach, you will have the exciting opportunity to inspire and empower students with diverse learning needs through sports and physical activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging sports sessions tailored to the abilities and interests of SEN students.
• Adapting activities to accommodate individual needs and promote inclusivity.
• Collaborating with teachers and support staff to integrate sports into the broader curriculum and individual education plans (IEPs).
• Providing encouragement, motivation, and positive reinforcement to foster confidence and skill development.
• Monitoring student progress and behavior, and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.

The successful candidate will:

• Experience working with SEN students or individuals with disabilities.
• A passion for sports and fitness, with expertise in a variety of activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in sports coaching and SEN education are desirable.
