Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting for a leading contractor in London, where you will work on multiple projects of different sizes in and around Central London. These are mainly hospital type buildings, and will involve internal refurbishments of their wards and offices.
This is a dual role where you will play a key role in estimating and winning projects, then continuing as Quantity Surveyor throughout the projects, so you will get to be involved throughout the whole life cycle.
You will work closely with clients, architects, and engineers to understand their requirements, then prepare detailed estimates / tender submissions. Once successfully won, you will then manage costs and budgets for construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
You will be based between site (Central London) & office in Soho
You will also be required travel to construction sites or meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- At least 2+ years sector experience
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience using computerised cost management systems.
- Building and construction regulations knowledge
