The working hours are 37.5 hours per week with days during training period and then moving on the following shifts, 0630-1430, 1000-1800, 1400-2200.

Our client is an advanced materials and speciality chemical company focused on the manufacture of surfactants.
Location:
This QC Chemist role will be based at our clients site in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
Salary:
Per Hour £14.78 PAYE.
You'll have to:
- Provide analytical services for the analysis of finished products, highlighting and helping to solve any non-conformances.
- Maintain analytical equipment and act as a first point of contact for technical issues.
- Perform equipment calibration and maintain records.
QC Chemist role:
- Ensure that all laboratory work is carried out with due regard to Health, Safety & Environment guidelines.
- Ensure that raw material, intermediates and finished products are tested as required by the site Quality system and recorded as required.
- Maintain the analytical equipment, (HPLC, GC, IC and related technical computer equipment).
- Input analysis data into IFS as required.
As a QC Chemist you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Qualified with a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant scientific discipline e.g analytical chemistry.
- Previous Experience in QC and in an industrial lab using a range of analytical equipment.
- Excellent time management and communication and problem solving skills.
