Job Title: Cover Teacher
Location: Newport Secondary School
Salary: £100-110/day
anzuk education is currently looking for a full time Cover Supervisor/Cover Teacher to support in a mainstream secondary school in Newport.
anzuk education also have a number of flexible/supply cover supervisor and cover teaching roles in Newport starting asap.
The Cover Supervisor role requirements:
As a Teaching Cover Supervisor/Cover teacher you will be supporting general cover and will be taking a variety of classes from key stage 3 - key stage 5. You will be responsible for classroom management but lesson plans will be provided.

The Cover Supervisor role requirements:
As a Teaching Cover Supervisor/Cover teacher you will be supporting general cover and will be taking a variety of classes from key stage 3 - key stage 5. You will be responsible for classroom management but lesson plans will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities to students, maintaining continuity in their learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Provide support to students as needed, answering questions and offering assistance with tasks.
- Liaise with teaching staff and department heads to ensure smooth delivery of lessons and continuity of learning.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning activities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subject areas as required.
- Willingness to travel if on public transport (Newport based)
