About the Role:
GSL Education are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a secondary school in Newcastle. The role involves teaching English to students across KS3 to KS5, preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons that foster students' critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Prepare educational material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons.
  • Actively participate in school events and staff meetings.

English Teacher Requirements:

  • Must possess a PGCE in English with QTS.
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • A passion for literature and language and the ability to inspire this in students.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour.
