Service Technician

Location: Chipping Warden

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: £34,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)

Employment Type: Temp to Perm, Permanent for the right candidate

Igloo is looking for Service Technicians to join our client’s team in Chipping Warden! This role presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join one of the UK's leading automotive companies, which has operations across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle PDI’s, repairs, and basic mechanical work.
• Carry out rectification work to manufacturer specifications.
• Manage job completion through the AssetCare system.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer’s procedures and complete workshop documentation.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness.
• Request and issue parts accurately.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain workshop productivity.
• Identify and report vehicle defects or impending failures.
• Keep equipment and tools clean and safe.
• Interpret technical service information.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.

What kind of person are we looking for?

• City & Guilds 1, 2, & 3 in Motor Vehicle Studies or Higher BTEC or equivalent – essential
• Manufacturer’s training, including EV and Hybrid vehicles – desirable
• At least 3 years relevant experience in a workshop environment – essential
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills – desirable
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail – essential
• Willingness to complete manufacturer's training courses – desirable
• Able to work with others and a team player – essential
• Highly self-motivated and able to work unsupervised to achieve high standards – desirable
