A lovely community C of E primary school in Putney are looking for an experienced Primary Teacher to join their school in September to cover a maternity leave for the academic year. 

The Role

In this role you will be taking over the Year 5 class within the school whilst their teacher begins their maternity leave. As a one-form entry primary school you will work closely with the KS2 team and participate with colleagues in planning materials; schemes of work and lesson plans, which should engage, stimulate and challenge students of all abilities, and cater for all learning styles.

You will also be required to lead a subject and there is flexibility as to which subject areas are available. 

This Primary Teacher position is offered on a contract basis to cover a permanent member of staff’s maternity leave. The contract will be from September to July 2024.

This Church of England primary school is situated near Putney Bridge in Hammersmith and Fulham.  The school is popular within the local community and there is good parental support for the school. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum which includes first hand experiences to challenge, motivate and include all pupils. Staff at the school are welcoming and friendly. As a 1 form entry site, teachers and teaching assistants within the year group work closely together in planning and assessment for their respective year groups. Promoting the ethos of the school is a shared responsibility to which teaching staff make a significant contribution.
