About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join our vibrant educational team in Goole. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance the learning experiences of primary school students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of teaching staff to support students with SEN across various primary year groups.
  • Implement tailored educational plans designed to meet the specific needs of SEN students.
  • Assist in the assessment of pupil progress and contribute to the preparation of reports and parent meetings.
  • Facilitate small group sessions and interventions for students requiring additional support.
  • Provide cover for teachers when needed and use your initiative to adapt activities.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience as an HLTA, preferably with a focus on SEN within a primary school setting.
  • Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to engage and inspire young learners with various educational needs.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
  • Show resilience, patience, and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
