About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs at a primary school in Sheffield. This role focuses on providing tailored support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, adapting methods to suit individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement effective strategies.
- Assist in monitoring and recording progress of students with additional needs.
- Help foster an inclusive environment that encourages students of all abilities to participate and thrive.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with SEN students within a school environment.
- Be knowledgeable about different types of learning difficulties and adaptive teaching methods.
- Show empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to student welfare.
- Hold relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs.
