Mental Health Support Worker

Salary: £15/hour - £16/hour

Location: Darlington, England, United Kingdom, DL2 1AY

Work hours: Full Time, Hours are flexible however package requires 24/7 Care

Are you an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker with a minimum of 12-months UK based healthcare experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the Darlington area!

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury and Challenging Behaviours. You will be providing support to a gentleman with an acquired brain injury with associated cognitive and behavioural issues.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• A minimum of 12-months UK experience working in Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injuries
• Must have experience with challenging behaviours.
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere.
• Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills
• Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as moving and handling.
• Must be a driver with access to own vehicle

Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
