As a Physical Education Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and personal development among students. You'll lead engaging and dynamic PE lessons that cater to students' diverse abilities and interests, while instilling a sense of passion and enthusiasm for physical activity.

Physical Education Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that align with the national curriculum and promote holistic development, including physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to participate, challenge themselves, and celebrate their achievements.
  • Introduce a variety of sports and activities, ensuring students have opportunities to develop fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development in PE, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organize extracurricular sports clubs, tournaments, and events that enrich the school community and promote a culture of active living.

Requirements for Physical Education Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching PE at the secondary level, with a passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for physical activity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver effective PE lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • A commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in physical activity.
