Occupational Health Nurse/Case Manager (remote working)

Key responsibilities will include:
- Work within the NMC Code and all Trust policies and guidelines;
- Undertake case management of referrals, including appropriate signposting, referrals and follow ups;
- Provision of proactive sickness absence management advice to managers, OH representation at case conferences and provision of sickness absence training;
- Provide an efficient environmental hazards protection service, including vaccination service and training inputs, operating within local procedures and professional constraints and standards;
- Provide a competent fitness to work screening and assessment service;
- Advise managers on workplace and job design issues where these relate to health and wellbeing of staff;
- Respond to local / organisational / population health and wellbeing needs with the provision of bespoke evidence-based interventions;
- Ensure accurate, legible nursing records are kept for each client in line with the NMC guidance, and Access to Medical Records Act 1988 and maintain the security of records within the department to comply with the Data Protection legislation.
- Registered General Nurse, with Registered Occupational Health Nurse (Degree or Diploma);
- Expert clinical skills, Communication skills, Facilitation skills, Negotiating and influencing skills, Risk Assessment & Workplace assessment skills, Health surveillance skills, Immunisation and vaccination experience;
- 5 years’ experience at Band 6+ in an Occupational Health setting in a healthcare setting;
