Role: Quality Engineer

Location: Cork Ireland

Start Date: Immediate

Length of Contract: 6 months- 12 Months extension

Pay Rate: Inside IR35

Hours of work: 10-12 hours per day

Working Schedule- Monday - Saturday

Language skills: English Speaking

Essential Skills:

Quality Engineer - GAS and Steam Turbine Experience

Must have Excellent communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team, contractors and key stakeholders.

  • Experience of Gas and Steam Turbine overhauls.
  • Knowledge / experience of Turbomachinery testing and assembly protocols (i.e. witness and hold point tolerances, assembly best practice etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of all Mechanical, Electrical and C&I issues associated with Turbomachinery plant.
  • Supervision Reporting experience

Required Experience :

Safe Pass

Manual Handling cert

Desirable Experience:

Safety and environmental management experience, including understanding of the PSDP/PSCS roles and responsibilities.

  • Experience of management of overhauls in GT26 based combined cycle stations.
  • A good understanding of contracts, including management of same.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the overhaul works in line with the requirements set out by the overhaul project manager. The role will involve supporting the overhaul project team to deliver the project safely, on schedule, on budget and to the required quality.
