Role: DevSecOps Solution Architect

Location: Bristol or London (Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site)

Duration: 6 Months

Day rate: £794 per day inside IR35

Role Description:

The role holder will be a subject matter expert in DevSecOps approaches and best practices, playing a crucial role in bridging development, security, and operations. Demonstrable knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles, Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices, Application security knowledge, Cloud infrastructure knowledge and familiarity with CI/CD tools, security tooling, and automation tools. The role holder will have overall accountability and oversight for the technical solution delivered for this domain.

Key Accountabilities:

• Creates and owns the E2E technical solution that underpins the goal of Establishing a sustainable "DevSecOps" practice.
• Defines solutions that are deliverable, are customer experience led, that meet the business needs, are secure, drive target architecture where possible, are compliant with relevant industry and company policies and factor in all impacted technical and business areas.
• Applies specialist technical expertise to develop and advise approach on a range of complex, high impact and high-risk solutions.
• Operates in a highly complex and ambiguous environment across the company and wider technical industry and / or specific customer sector.
• Ensures solutions delivered are complete and have integrity and support the architectural strategy and simplified operating model.
• Proactively identifies initiatives to drive simplification, target architecture, improved customer experience, improved business agility and lower cost to serve. Actively contributes to architecture roadmaps and long-term planning.
• Liaises with organisational stakeholders, ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Mandatory - deep experience of delivering secure solution designs for a large corporate business over 5+ years
• Mandatory - experience of range of business, data, systems, network and technology architecture and due diligence experience
• Mandatory - subject matter expert in DevSecOps approaches and best practices
• Mandatory - Demonstrable knowledge of the DevOps culture and principles, Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices, Application security knowledge, Cloud infrastructure knowledge and familiarity with CI/CD tools, security tooling, and automation tools.
• Preferred - experience of agile product ownership and solution architecture methods and practices across a range of delivery methodologies including agile.
• Preferred - experience in operating model, process, and business architecture with a knowledge cross business function, and product.
• Preferred - technical depth particularly around service-based architecture.
