Workshop Team Leader

Salary/Rate:
£16 - £19/hour

A new role for a Workshop Team Leader is now available in Elmbridge. You will be required to provide supervision of maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles, equipment and plant machinery. You will need to be an experienced maintenance operative and be able to monitor performance of junior staff alongside managing the cost control and develop new ways of delivering service to customers.

Workshop Team Leader Responsibilities

  • Compliance with Legislative and company standards of all equipment and tools.
  • Health & Safety of Workshop
  • Monitoring Fitter performance, quality and productivity
  • Maintain cost controls on behalf of Amey
  • Actively identify and develop effective ways of delivering service
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities

Workshop Team Leader Qualifications

  • Full Driving Licence: Minimum C+E
  • City & Guilds Motor Vehicle level 1,2 & 3

Workshop Team Leader Skills

  • Planning and motivational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to communicate with team and management

Workshop Team Leader Experience

  • Experience of maintenance workshops (ideally in a supervisory role)
  • Able to demonstrate workshop planning knowledge
  • Experience in performance managing teams
  • Significant "On Tools" experience
