Job Title: SEND Behaviour Assistant

Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Pay: £12.86 per hour
About the roleI am currently seeking a Behaviour Assistantto work in a specialist school to support children with additional needs such as autism and profound and multiple learning difficulties. You will be required to work with small groups or 1:1, supporting children with a range of ages and levels of learning.
Prior school or SEND experience is desirable.

This SEND school is based in the Salisbury area. They support diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, disabilities and challenging behaviours.
The school is looking for a Behaviour Assistantwho thinks on their feet, is reliable, willing to go the extra mile and build positive relationships with students. Alongside this having a fun and energetic personality.
Start date: asap
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 8.30am to 3.00pm
Wednesday 8:30 – 4:00pm
This will become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Requirements
The ideal Behaviour Assistantwill:
- Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
- Be enthusiastic and reliable
- Have good communication skills
- Be patient and resilient
- Hold, or be prepared to pay for an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service.
