Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher - Resistant Materials

Salary: Up to £240 per day
Contract: Full Time, Temporary

Are you an experienced Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher with a passion for Resistant Materials? GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Full-Time D&T Teacher to join a school in Sheffield from September 2024 to January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and foster their creativity in the field of Resistant Materials.

Job Summary:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Resistant Materials, ensuring the curriculum is covered effectively.
  • Create a conducive learning environment that encourages students' exploration, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum and examination board requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to deliver interactive and stimulating lessons.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Design & Technology or related field.
  • Specialization in Resistant Materials with prior experience teaching the subject at secondary level.
  • Proficiency in workshop tools and equipment relevant to Resistant Materials.

Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must undergo all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
