Job Overview
The Construction Health & Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing and overseeing safety, checking sub contractors RAMS and commenting, offering recommendations. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction processes, health and safety regulations, and strong communication skills to promote a safety-first culture.  Chairing site inductions
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA or other relevant safety standards, local regulations, and company policies.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards on the construction site.
  • Safety Training: Organize and deliver safety training programs for all construction personnel.
  • Incident Reporting: Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near-misses, providing recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation of machinery, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance documents.
  • Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote safety practices.
  • Safety Audits: Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement of safety policies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree OR IOSH OR NEBOSH + First Aid nad White or Black CSCS Card
  • Experience: Working in a similar capacity on a construction site
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to navigate construction sites, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license.
