Contract Test Development Engineer

Rolling contract, Immediate start Available

Opportunity for a Test Development Engineer to join a leading design, development and manufacturing organisation with an established yet growing electro-mechanical product portfolio.

Due to continued growth and expansion they are looking to appoint a key engineer to support Test Development  and NPD activities.

In this varied role you will help to shape the design of new products through building and testing prototype systems, as well as helping with the product design where possible.   As such you will have a background testing  electro-mechanical products and using or building test fixtures to determine performance.

The key requirements of this Test Engineer role will be:

  • Undertaking and supporting testing of new products to measure their performance
  • Setting up tests, fixtures and procedures for testing
  • Providing practical testing and assembly of prototypes
  • Producing technical documentation / writing test reports
  • Utilising your knowledge to troubleshooting faults in prototype and also existing production units
  • Working closely with the design and development team support the development of new product concepts

Skills and Experience Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be a HNC/D + qualified engineer with:

  • Prior experience of working within an electronic/software product design and manufacturing environment devising production test systems / methods ideally required.

    In depth experience of LabVIEW sought
